In 1994, four people in the basement of a townhome in Allentown, PA began designing and developing basic websites by hand – writing HTML and uploading each line of code into Netscape Navigator to see if it actually worked. It took tremendous patience and diligence with everything done from scratch in uncharted territory.
We began selling our services to large companies in the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia areas, and as the company grew, the founders decided to rebrand and separate ourselves from commodity “website development” shops that had begun popping up. There were core differences between these companies and ours. It is in our DNA to build custom technology and marketing solutions that solve business problems. We don’t just churn out websites. We have always believed in quality over quantity. We were better, and we wanted to make that very clear.
In 2006, we relaunched the business under a new flag. We called it Liquid Interactive.
Since then, Liquid has shown steady success – meeting or exceeding our goal of 20 percent profitable managed growth each year. We’ve been recognized as a fastest growing company locally (Lehigh Valley Business, 2012-2016; Greater Reading Chamber, 2011-2016) as well as nationally (Inc 5000, 2013-2016) based on our consistent revenue increases.
Our website development solutions continue to be the anchor by which our clients establish their digital presence. Once completed, this interactive foundation becomes the launching pad for every other integrated marketing solution that we provide.
In 2012, we acquired DSK Media – adding a complete suite of digital and broadcast video services to our offerings. In the same year, we launched our mobility practice dedicated to creating excellent mobile web experiences.
In 2013, our digital marketing services were expanded and relaunched to support our clients’ rapidly growing needs in the areas of social media, search, analytics, advertising & promotion and content marketing.
In 2014, we moved to a larger facility featuring a 10,000-square-foot office space with a wide-open environment that fosters collaboration and employee development. A small second office was established in Greensboro, N.C. to serve two major clients – Mack and Volvo Trucks – that moved their US headquarters to that area.
In 2016, as we reach a new milestone of 10 years in business, we remain true to our original goal –providing best in class marketing and technology services as long-term partners to growing brands.
I don’t yet know what milestone we will reach in 2017, but I can guarantee that it will involve some evolution of our company designed to meet the unseen needs of our partners. Liquid is always moving, always changing, always in motion.
