Liquid is pleased to announce that Kelly Planer, Video Services Manager, has been honored with a nomination for a 2013 National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) Mid-Atlantic Chapter Emmy® Award in the category Commercial – Single Spot for producing Men’s Health Magazine’s broadcast ad, The Man with No Problems.

“This is an exciting award nomination, as it is a tribute to the tremendous work of our team, Brian Noreika (Director of Photography), Gary Jewell (Editor), Cat Quinn & Lacey Sigurdsson (Animators) and Rich Johnson (Director). It’s more than satisfying to be honored for our work with Men's Health, an iconic brand with a worldwide readership of 24 million across 47 countries,” says Planer. This marks Planer’s third Emmy nod; previous nominations included her work for the 1996 Olympic Trials: Cycling and a video segment for Easter Seals.

All award submissions are judged by panels of professionals across the country. Planer notes, “I appreciate that our work was evaluated by those who understand the industry. The NATAS community represents the best of the best.”

The 31st Annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy® Awards will be held on September 7, 2013. The awards event, which honors broadcasters for excellence in 73 news and programming categories, will include a cocktail hour and silent auction to benefit NATAS Scholarship programs, a sit-down dinner and the award presentations.
