Produce content strategies and custom content for client target audiences, and continually optimize messaging and content plans to increase engagement and achieve client [marketing] goals. Additionally, oversee all content requirements, create all content strategy deliverables (content audits, gap analyses, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, style guides, content migration plans, etc.) across the project lifecycle, and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure all content deliverables meet or exceed the client’s expectations.


  • Develop, document, and guide execution of overarching, multi-channel content strategies based on client business objectives and user needs.
  • Guide and manage content planning from initial strategy to implementation and post-launch optimization.
  • Determine overall content requirements, potential content sources, and distribution channels for content strategies.
  • Lead the creation of key content deliverables including content audits, gap analyses, mappings, and strategies.
  • Work with Strategy, Creative, and Marketing teams to define content direction, including innovative solutions for content presentation, and to set guidelines for the editorial tone, style, and voice of all content.
  • Manage/set content schedules and guide clients on day-to-day content development, production and workflow across channels.
  • Work with clients to enhance, edit and reformat legacy and newly created content.
  • Develop naming conventions, call-to-action copy, and other interface textual elements content, as needed.
  • Identify success metrics for client content plans, work with Analytics team to track performance of content plans against those metrics, and recommend adjustments or test plans, as necessary.
  • Support the development of any project requirements for content management, workflow, and maintenance.
  • Work with SEO strategist to create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content.
  • Work with UX and Creative teams to produce style guides for new or redesigned websites.
  • Contribute to and company blog, as requested.
  • Contribute to the development of new business materials, presentations and other agency communication vehicles to distribute content information.


  • 3+ years of experience in creating/writing/developing content for web and other digital media.
  • Degree in related field, such as English, journalism, technical writing, or library science is preferred.
  • Experience in an interactive agency or similar client services environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead content strategy across the entire web development process and other digital channels (e.g., social media).
  • Thorough understanding of how to communicate effectively in a digital environment.
  • A strong working knowledge and proficiency in the following areas is expected: web/mobile, metrics analysis, SEO, audience development, content management systems, and principles of content strategy.
  • An eagerness to learn about the latest technologies, solutions and platforms that support content presentation/delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively with end-users, project teams, management, and external clients with minimum supervision.
  • Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An effective communicator both verbally and in written word.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team or work autonomously.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoy working as a member of a complex and highly motivated team of experts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities on demand.
