New title, who dis?

We’re excited to share the promotion of Kaitlyn Gurinowich to Integrated Marketing Strategist.

Katie Understood the Assignment

In May, Katie celebrated three years at Liquid after graduating from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Her promotion recognizes the experience she’s gained since joining us in her Specialist role as well as her above and beyond contributions to the digital marketing team at large.

On her promotion, Vice President, Marketing Emily Massaro shared: “Watching Katie’s growth has been a highlight for me to say the least. She just gets it. From early on, she displayed her understanding of how both the trending and the tried and true tactics all come together to make an impact. Each year, her ideas get sharper and her confidence grows.”

In her Strategist role, Katie will continue to plan and execute strategies across organic social, social advertising, influencer marketing, and email marketing—now leveraging the skills and insight she’s gained to lead larger, more integrated efforts. Katie will also continue managing many of Liquid’s own marketing channels, helping us showcase our expertise and engage with new clients and employees.

Emily added, “I’m really lucky to get to collaborate with and learn from Katie every day. I’m looking forward to that and more in her new role!”

POV: You Got Promoted

We put newly promoted Katie in the hot seat with a few questions to get her reflecting on her career so far.

What’s one way you’ve grown the most in your time at Liquid?

Besides filling my brain with new industry skills, I think one place I’ve grown the most is in my confidence. I’ve learned to trust my instincts, speak up in meetings, and take ownership of my work in a way I hadn’t before.

What’s one lesson that really stuck with you?

This is a bit specific, but one lesson that’s really stuck with me is this: just because an ad platform recommends something doesn’t mean it’s the right move for my campaign. Every campaign is unique—goals, audience, budget, and brand voice all play a role. Lately, I’ve seen more AI-driven suggestions being pushed by platforms, but those recommendations lack crucial context that a real human would have.

They’re usually based on surface-level performance metrics, not the deeper insights I gather, like how users actually engage with the landing page or the quality of conversions. It’s a reminder to stay grounded in what I know, trust my strategy, and prioritize what’s best for the brand.
