We’re incredibly humbled to once again have been named one of the Fastest Growing Companies in the Lehigh Valley by Lehigh Valley Business earlier this week.
We are excited to announce that we have been chosen as one of the two competing agencies in the 2019 Wix SEO competition!
About the Competition
Two agencies were chosen to compete in an SEO “battle” to see who could rank highest for the search query “Wix SEO”. One side has been dubbed the Wix SEO Lovers, the other the Wix SEO Haters (that’s us). The Lovers will need to create a website using Wix. The Haters can use a platform of their choice.
The duration of the competition is about 6 months. The teams were chosen on July 16th, 2019, and the competition will run until December 19, 2019 at 12:00 pm ET.
Whichever teams wins will take home $25k!
Why Was Liquid Chosen
The judge, SEO expert Lukasz Zelezny, vetted agencies to compete based on the following criteria:
- Google ranking
- Years of experience
- Online presence
- Online reviews
- Technical skill set
- Quality of content
- Number of clients
Our selection proudly speaks to our current and previous work as well as the reputation we’ve built over the years.
Why We Chose to be Haters
At Liquid, we design and develop large and often comprehensive sites from the ground up. They are technically sound, aesthetically pleasing, and optimized to perform well within search engines. While Wix certainly allows for even non-developers to create great looking websites, these sites have historically performed poorly from an SEO standpoint. We wanted to show the importance of having your website built properly and the impact of high-quality SEO.
What Our Team Thinks
"We are honored to have been selected as one of two agencies to participate in the Wix SEO Challenge. This is an exciting and rewarding friendly competition between two established teams of SEO experts. For well over a decade, Liquid has offered a full range of Digital Marketing services of which SEO sits at the center. We will share our learnings with the general public in hopes that others will benefit from our work. Please follow our progress at www.wixseohaters.com (ok, check out www.wixseolovers.com too) as we navigate our way through this contest. Many thanks to Wix for acknowledging Liquid and presenting us with this wonderful opportunity. Let’s have fun and LET’S GO HATERS!"
- Doug Mancini, Executive Vice President and COO
"A cross-functional team – and really, the entire agency – has rallied around this project! It’ll be another great example of what collaboration between all of our expert departments can produce.
I know the team also plans to use this as an opportunity to try and test different strategies so that we can continue sharing new and innovative solutions with clients and colleagues.
The Wix SEO Haters are ready to duke it out for that top ranking spot!"
- Emily Massaro, Digital Marketing Manager
